Lanka Rathnayake

Lanka was called to the Sri Lankan bar, as an attorney-at-law of the supreme court of Sri Lanka, in September 2006 and has since having registered with the law society for England and Wales, been practicing as a civil lawyer in London for the past 15 years dealing with all civil law related matters.

He is a Senior Consultant of Freeman Harris Solicitors and his expertise is in the fields of Personal Injury, Credit hire, Landlord –Tenant and General Civil Litigation.

He specialises in Fast-track and Multi-track high-value Personal Injury cases and Credit hire matters. In addition, he also deals with Landlord-Tenant (Landlord) disputes and commercial Debt recovery matters.

He has successfully dealt with a multitude of complex personal injury and credit hire cases with an exceptionally high success rate in both litigated and non-litigated matters, having been the highest fee earner for the firm for the past 14 consecutive years.

Academically he obtained an Honours Degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of London and a Masters in Law (LL.M) in International Law from the University of Bristol.

He speaks English and Sinhalese and conversational Bulgarian.
